# Change, pause or cancel monthly giving

You can change the amount, pause it, replace the card, or cancel a recurring donation yourself, using a private link from your email — no DonorCARE account needed.

## Before you start

You'll need the management link from an email about this donation. DonorCARE sends it when the recurring donation starts, and again in reminder emails if your card is expiring or a payment fails. There's no sign-in — instead, you confirm the email address you gave when you set it up.

## Steps

1. **Open the management link** from your email, then enter your **Email Address** and select **Verify & Continue**.

2. **Review your subscription** — campaign, amount, frequency, status, next charge date and (if it's a card) when the card expires.

3. **To change the amount or frequency**, edit the **Amount** or **Frequency** fields (shown while the donation is Active) and select **Save changes**. The minimum amount is RM10.

4. **To pause or resume**, select **Pause donation** (or **Resume donation** if it's already paused).

5. **To replace your card**, select **Update card**. You're taken to a short payment step to enter your new card — you won't be charged there. Coming back to this page confirms the update.

6. **To cancel**, select **Cancel this recurring donation** at the bottom of the page. On the page that opens, confirm your email again, review the details, and select **Confirm Cancellation**. This can't be undone — you won't be charged again for this donation.

## If something goes wrong

| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "This management link is invalid or has expired." | The link is missing its reference, or it's an old one | Use the most recent email you have about this donation, or contact the organization for a new one |
| "Email does not match our records." | The email you entered isn't the one this donation was set up with | Use the exact email address you gave when you started the recurring donation |
| "Too many attempts — please wait a minute." | Too many tries in a short time | Wait a minute, then try again |
