# Your impact page

> The personal summary an organization can send you showing what your giving supported.

Your impact page is a shareable summary card of your giving on DonorCARE this year — how many donations you've made (each counts in the year it was given, by its payment date, and test-mode and sample gifts are left out), how many organizations and appeals you've supported, the month you gave most often, and how long you've been giving — that you generate yourself from your account.

## Why it works this way

Your impact page rolls up giving across every organization you support, not just one — so it lives on your own DonorCARE account rather than inside any single organization's site, and only appears there once you're signed in on the main DonorCARE site rather than an organization's own subdomain.

Because it's a link you can share anywhere, it's built to be safe to share: it shows your first name, some counts, and a total giving range rather than an exact figure. It never names the organizations or appeals you gave to.

The card follows the calendar. For most of the year it shows your giving so far this year. In December and January it shows the whole year that is ending or has just ended.

## The terms

**Impact link** — a web address showing your own summary card. Anyone with the link can open it, so treat it the way you'd treat a public social media post.

**Total range** — your giving for the year shown as a band (for example, "RM 1,000 - 5,000") rather than an exact amount, so the figure stays safe to share publicly.

**Your year** — the signed-in version of the same summary, on the **Overview** tab of your account. Only you see it, so it shows the exact total.

## What this means in practice

**Do**

- Generate your own impact link from your account whenever you want to share it — it's always up to date.
- Expect it to show counts and a range, not a line-by-line list of what you gave and to whom.

**Don't**

- Expect an organization to email you this link — it's something you create yourself, not something sent to you.
- Share it somewhere you wouldn't want your first name and giving history to be seen — the link works for anyone who has it.

## Worked example

Priya signs in at DonorCARE (not on any single organization's own site), opens **Overview** on her account, and selects **Share My Impact**. Her link copies to her clipboard, and opening it in October shows: "Priya's giving so far in 2026 — 12 gifts, 3 organisations, 5 campaigns, RM 1,000 - 5,000 given, gave most often in June, giving since March 2025."
