# Suggest an edit to a listing

> Tell DonorCARE that a directory listing's website, phone, city or description is wrong or out of date.

If a directory listing has out-of-date details, you can send a suggested correction. It is checked before it appears on the page.

## Before you start

No account needed. You can suggest an edit without signing in. If you are part of the organization, [claim the listing](https://donorcare.my/help/donors/claim-our-listing/) instead. The form itself says: "most fields then become yours to edit directly."

## Steps

1. Open the listing and scroll to the bottom of the main text, under **Help keep this listing accurate**.
2. Select **Something out of date? Suggest an edit**. A form opens headed **Suggest an edit**: "Only fill in what needs changing. A reviewer checks every suggestion before it appears."
3. Change only the fields that are wrong. The form shows the listing's current **Website**, **Phone**, **City** and **Description** for you to edit.
4. Optionally, add a note in **Anything else we should know? (optional)**.
5. Optionally, enter **Your email (optional)**. The field says it is "so we can tell you what we decided".
6. Select **Send suggestion**. To close the form without sending, select **Cancel**.

You see **Thank you** and "[n] suggested changes sent for review. We check every suggestion before it goes live." Nothing changes on the page until your suggestion has been checked. If you gave an email, it is used to tell you the outcome.

## If something goes wrong

| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Nothing to submit — change at least one field to a new value." | You did not change anything. | Edit at least one field, then send again. |
| "You've sent several suggestions today. Please try again tomorrow." | Too many suggestions were sent from your connection. | Wait and send again later. |
| "This listing no longer exists." | The listing was removed while you were editing. | Search the directory for the organization. |
| "Network error. Please try again." | Your connection dropped. | Check your connection and send again. |
| "Could not send your suggestion. Try again." | The suggestion did not go through. | Try again in a moment. |
