阿弥陀佛，欢迎您来到妙香林寺。 1942年，福建高僧会泉长老南来弘法，两位虔诚弟子林氏昆仲发心购地，在升旗山脚下为长老建立静修道场——这就是妙香林寺的缘起。其后宏船长老继任住持；1950年起，广余长老扩地三英亩，兴建大雄宝殿、宝塔与僧寮，才有今天清幽庄严的道场。 八十多年来，我们秉承历代长老的慈悲宏愿，每月举办大悲忏共修，并有新春平安灯、光明灯、清明及七月孝亲报恩法会。2024年，我们成立了妙香林弘法会、护生会与慈善会，在网络上分享佛法、戒杀护生，并关怀急难与贫困的众生。 无论您是来礼佛、参加共修，还是只想在山林间静一静心，山门永远为您敞开。期待与您结一份善缘。 Welcome to Beow Hiang Lim Temple. Our story began in 1942, when two devoted disciples bought land on the slopes of Penang Hill so that the Fujian master Venerable Hui Quan could live and teach here. Venerable Hong Chuan followed him as abbot, and from 1950 Venerable Guang Yu added three acres and built the main shrine hall, pagodas and monastic quarters you see today. More than eighty years on, we hold a monthly Great Compassion Repentance, Chinese New Year and year-round light offerings, and Cheng Beng and Ullambana memorial services. In 2024 we formed our Dharma, Life Protection and Charity societies to share the teachings online, practise compassion for all beings and help people in hardship. Whether you come to pay respects, practise with us, or simply find some quiet among the trees, our doors are open to you.
