Cookie Policy

This page describes cookies and similar browser-storage technologies (such as localStorage) used on donorcare.my, the DonorCARE admin dashboard, and websites we host on behalf of an Organisation on a subdomain or custom domain.

These are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core features:

• Session/authentication cookies — set when you log in to the admin dashboard or a donor portal, so the platform knows who you are between requests. These are set by our authentication system and expire on logout or after a period of inactivity.
• Cart and checkout state — used on a donation checkout to remember what you are donating to while you complete payment, stored primarily in localStorage rather than a cookie.
• Tenant/organisation routing — used to identify which Organisation's site you are viewing when it is served from a shared donorcare.my subdomain.

The DonorCARE marketing site. donorcare.my itself runs Google Analytics 4 in production, to understand traffic to our own marketing pages and directory. This does not run in development or on an Organisation's own custom domain.

An Organisation's own website. A website we host for an Organisation only runs Google Analytics 4 if that Organisation has supplied its own GA4 measurement ID in its dashboard settings — an Enterprise-plan feature. Where an Organisation has not configured a measurement ID, no Google Analytics script runs on its pages. Where it has, the Organisation is the party responsible for that analytics configuration and for any consent obligations it creates for its own visitors.

DonorCARE does not currently display a cookie-consent banner. The cookies described above are limited to session management, checkout state, and (where applicable) analytics as described. If this changes — for example, if we or an Organisation begin using cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking — we will update this page and put a consent mechanism in place before doing so. You can control cookies through your browser's own settings at any time; blocking essential cookies will prevent login and checkout from working correctly.

We may update this Policy as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
