An 8-format catalog, not one generic CSV

SQL Accounting integration
Official receipts, in the format your bookkeeper already imports
A real, named integration: DonorCARE generates one GL_OR XML voucher per official receipt and packages them into a zip your bookkeeper imports through SQL Financial Accounting's own File → Import → XML — no manual re-entry of receipts already issued. This export is switched on per organization; check with us if you don't see it yet.

What do we actually hand the auditor and the AGM at year end?
The Financial Summary and Fundraising Summary board reports are built for exactly this — generated on demand for the date range you choose, downloadable as a PDF, with your last reports kept on hand for reference. Pair that with the Donation CSV, which prints cash-basis payment date and entry date as separate columns — the distinction an auditor will ask about — alongside receipt number, e-invoice status, and donor tax details, for whoever does the line-by-line reconciliation. Corrections made to a donation or a receipt are written to an audit trail as well.
Are exports and board reports limited to certain plans?
Access to Finance Exports and Board Reports is controlled by a role permission in your org — the person you assign to handle financial reporting can reach them regardless of plan.
Can reports be emailed to us automatically, on a schedule?
Not today. Every export and every board report is generated on demand, when someone opens the tool and asks for it — there's no scheduled or emailed financial report yet (the weekly advisor feed refreshes itself every Sunday, but it's a list of observations, not a report). In practice, whoever holds the financial-reports permission needs to log in and pull the month-end or year-end numbers themselves rather than wait for them to land in an inbox.
If we ever stop paying for DonorCARE, do we lose our donor and donation data?
A Full Data Export (JSON) sits in the same export catalog as the CSVs, built for exactly this kind of portability. The honest caveat: generated export files expire 24 hours after they're built, and export job history itself is kept for 7 days — so this is something to run and download before you cancel, not something to reach for afterward.
Is the SQL Accounting export available to every org today?
It's a real, working integration, but it's switched on per organization rather than on by default for every account. Ask us to enable it for yours.
Can I build a custom report?
Not yet — board reports are the four fixed types above. There's no ad-hoc report builder today.
