Add a missing organization to the directory

Submit a Malaysian non-profit organization that is not yet in the DonorCARE directory, and check on your submission afterwards.

If an organization is not in the directory, you can submit it. A person reads every submission before anything is published, and a listing is free.

  • You do not need an account. If you are not signed in you are asked for your own email address, so the reviewer can reach you. If you are signed in, that question is skipped.
  • Search the directory first. The form also checks for you as you type the name, but a quick search saves time. See Find an organization in the directory.
  • Have what you know to hand: the organization’s registered name, registration number, contact details and a short description. Only the fields marked * are required.
  1. Open Submit an NPO from the footer of any directory page.
  2. Step 1, Basics. Enter Legal Name (required, as registered). Optionally add Name in Chinese or Tamil (the name people know it by in their own language), Registration Number (from ROS, SSM or another registrar) and Year Established. As you type the name, the form checks the directory. If a match appears, you can select Yes, this is us — claim it to claim the existing listing, or No, mine is different — continue to carry on.
  3. Select Continue. Step 2, Contact. Everything here is optional. Share what is already public: Website, Public Email (shown on the listing), Phone, Facebook and Instagram (a link or just the page name). If you are not signed in, you also enter Your Email. It is yours, not the organization’s, and is used only to ask about this submission and tell you the outcome.
  4. Select Continue. Step 3, Category & Location. Choose Category, Organization Type (choose Other if none fits) and State. These are required. Optionally add District, City or Town, Address (leave it out if there is no public address) and Brief Description.
  5. Select Continue. Step 4, Review. Check every answer. Select Edit beside a group to go back and change it.
  6. Select Submit for Review.

Your answers are kept on this device as you go, so you can pause and come back. Use Back to go to the previous step, or Cancel to leave.

You see “Thanks — your submission is with our reviewers.” The page explains that a person reads every submission before anything is published. If it is approved, the listing goes live and an email is sent to the address you gave. It also says “We can’t promise a date.” It adds that if the organization’s email domain matches yours, you get claim rights automatically on approval. Once the listing is live, the organization’s team can claim the page and add photos, opening hours, services and ways to give. See Claim your organization’s listing.

If the organization is already listed, you see “This NPO is already listed.” Select Claim Instead to claim the existing listing.

Sign in, then open My Submissions from the directory footer. The page is called My directory submissions. Each submission shows the organization’s name with a status: Pending review, Approved, Rejected or Duplicate, plus a Reviewer note if one was left. If you have none, it reads “No submissions yet.”
