Use the advisor feed
The advisor feed is DonorCARE’s own weekly read of your data — a ranked list of what needs your attention, what’s changed, and what’s trending — refreshed every Sunday with no set-up required.
Why it works this way
Section titled “Why it works this way”Most small teams don’t have a data analyst combing through donation and donor records looking for problems before they become urgent. So DonorCARE runs that check for you: every Sunday, a set of analyzers looks across your donations, donors, campaigns and compliance status for specific patterns — a donor who gave last year and hasn’t this year, a campaign running behind pace, a rising rejection rate on your e-invoices — and turns anything it finds into one item on your feed, ranked by how urgent it is.
The terms
Section titled “The terms”Needs you — items with real urgency: compliance risk, an approaching deadline, something that needs a decision.
What changed — a notable shift in your donations or donor behaviour since the last run.
Trending & opportunities — momentum or an opening worth acting on, without the urgency of the other two.
Severity — Critical, Warning or Info. Your dashboard shows only your top three items, by severity, with a link through to the full feed.
Acknowledge — mark an item reviewed and leave a short note for anyone who looks at it later. Dismiss removes it outright. Either way, the same underlying issue won’t pile up as a fresh duplicate while it’s still open.
What this means in practice
Section titled “What this means in practice”Do
- Leave a note when you acknowledge something — it’s what turns “someone looked at this” into a record of what they decided and why.
Don’t
- Be surprised if a Finance or Member-role teammate can see the Feed link in the sidebar but can’t open it — the feed itself is currently limited to Owners and Admins.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”An invented temple’s most generous donor gave RM5,000 last Vesak and hasn’t given anything this year. The feed’s donor-lapse check surfaces this under What changed before the next big event, rather than staff noticing the gap only once it’s too late to reach out.
Related
Section titled “Related”Screenshots use sample data. Every screen on this page is captured against a demo organisation seeded with generated donors, amounts, receipt numbers and campaigns. Any resemblance to a real person or organisation is coincidental.
