Fix a problem claiming your listing

What each message means when you claim, verify or edit a directory listing, and what to do about it.

Who can do this Anyone claiming a listing, or the account that completed the claim. Not tied to an organization role.

Use this page when claiming a directory listing, opening the verification link, or opening the editor doesn’t go as expected.

  1. Use the same email address for the claim and for signing in. The verification link only works for the address it was sent to.
  2. Open the link within 24 hours of the email.
  3. Check your spam folder for the verification email.

“This listing has already been claimed, or the organization already runs on DonorCARE.” The page itself says This listing has already been claimed. Someone has the listing already. If that is wrong, for example the person who claimed it has left, select the email link on the page or write to support@donorcare.my.

“A claim request from this email is already pending. Check your inbox for the verification link, or try again in 24 hours.” Find the earlier email, or wait 24 hours and send a new one.

“We could not send the verification email to that address. Check the spelling and try again, or email support@donorcare.my.” Re-enter the address carefully.

“Please confirm you are authorized to represent this organization before sending the link.” Tick I am authorized to represent this organization, and the information I have given here is true.

“Too many requests. Try again later.” Wait and try again.

“Listing not found.” The link to the claim page is out of date. Search for the organization in the directory again.

“The NPO directory is temporarily unavailable. Try again shortly.” Try again later.

“Something went wrong. Try again or contact support@donorcare.my.” Try again; if it persists, write to support.

Sign in to complete claim (“You need a DonorCARE account to verify this claim. Sign in with the same email that received the verification link.”). Select Sign in. After signing in you return to the link.

“This verification link is invalid or has expired. Request a new claim email.” Start the claim again from the listing.

“The link was issued to a different email address. Sign in with the email that received the verification link.” Sign out and sign in with the address the email went to.

“This listing has already been claimed by someone else.” Another person completed a claim first. Write to support@donorcare.my if that is wrong.

“Something went wrong. Contact support@donorcare.my if this keeps happening.” Try the link again. If the listing’s contact email changed after you asked for the link, request a new link.

Claim received — under review. Your address isn’t on the organization’s own domain and isn’t the contact email on the listing, so a person checks the claim first. “We’ll email you once it’s approved.” Nothing for you to do. To avoid the wait, claim with an address on your organization’s own domain.

“Sign in to manage your listing”: sign in with the account that completed the claim.

“No listing linked to your account yet”: this account hasn’t completed a claim, or the claim is still under review. It reads: “once your claim is approved, it will appear on this page.”

“Listing not found” (“Either this listing doesn’t exist, or your account isn’t linked to it.”): select Back to my listings.

“You don’t have permission to edit this listing.”: sign in with the account that claimed it. If your organization is a DonorCARE customer, ask an Owner to check your role.

Email support@donorcare.my with the listing’s address and the email you used.
